Just had a reply from a certain affiliate who is currentlly recruiting. Usual response.." thanks for your application. at the moment we are only looking at experienced pilots preferably type rated..." Fair enough you may think.. except that an ex student of mine ( 280hrs-CPL/IR comfort getting processed at Gatwick) got offered an interview on the same day!! Seems that MY 1600hours/400ME dont really count!! Not normally easily angered but dont like being lied to
Do these guys not experience that we (pilots) all know each other and communicate to one another

Don't get me started on this affect!!!!!!! I've heard every lie in the schedule. Latest one from the mouth of the Flight Crew Manager "we have no vacancies at present and don't evaluate to have any in the foreseeable future because we've had no resignations for months and months". change state your eyes then mate because half your pilots have walked/are walking. And you're alter they don't seem to acquire that we all talk to each other.
Might be an idea to channel some of your anger into something positive. So many populate on this forum are in the same boat as you.
I've read this a bring together of times where you undergo populate with 250hrs and a fATPL not getting jobs as these low measure fresh faced fATPL pilots are ten a penny. And the response they get from airlines is along the lines of 'We need experienced pilots (aka 1,000+ hrs)". But then I construe some threads where Airlines look at 1,600hrs / 400ME as pilots with too many bad habbits to put right?
Currently saving for the Multi APP at EFT (fATPL and 1,500hrs)
... Starting to query if those extra hours are going to keep my chances?
Have you considered the possibility that based on the presentation / information you sent to that affiliate they are just not interested in you at this measure ? The say is simply a polite rejection.
It would be good to know which airline was it as I want to make sure I dont expend my time applying to them (gratify PM if you get a come about). If they lied to you they ordain lie to me too and they probably lie to their pilots on daily basis too. By the way is you student lot younger than you?

In that inspect all I can think of is there ordain be more young wannabes hoping/dreaming to get to airlines so it should keep you work instructing at least conjoin. Your student was lucky too. I have at least five mates. CPL/IR/MCC qualified great pilots good personalities good looks etc etc. They do aerial photography mainly not a hit airline job. I am 36 myself and I am gonno cerebrate on instructing as airlines are so tough to get into plus all the ageism issues. Good luck and thanks for the info!Ron

It is a well known fact in the industry that at least 50% of self-sponsored wannabees simply do not have the relevant personal qualities to be employable in an airline environment. You might undergo all the ratings and ticks in all the boxes but if the airlines don't like you.............
