"A routine visit turned into a scary dream..." posted by ~Ray

It's silly. I can't even begin to know what to write. Imagine that me Dayna speachless! So here it is. I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer on Thurs. Nov. 1. 2007. I went into the endocrinologist for a routine appt and was wanting to get approval from the Dr for an insulin pump. I instead came out with a thyroid biopsy and the high possibility of papillary cancer. Upon having the biopsy. I was told it would be about a week before the results came back. So getting a call while I was at work (I work at Heritage High School where Cameron goes to school) was very much a startling frightening moment. The lump/mass is fairly large and I am scheduled for surgery Dec. 6th at Kaiser Sunnyside Campus. There are two surgeons and it should take about 3 hours. Below is a link to ThyCa which will tell you the good the bad and the ugly of Thyroid Cancer. I am very optimistic that this is such a curable form of cancer that I WILL do fine! The boys are doing fine. It is just a difficult time for all of us. I am grateful for the calls and emails from many of you. Thanks so much for thinking of us. Love. Dayna I love you aunt Dayna! We pray for you and hope that you and he Boys are well. Cancer is a scary thing but the medical world is so advance I know that you will be well taken care of. Thinking of you - Steffy Our family loves the outdoors whether it be out on the boat at Lake Merwin in our yard or up in the hills of Mt. St. Helens. We have a pug named Sadie and aren't ashamed to admit that she is spoiled. WE feel BLESSED to live in the NW!

"Nothing Scary About Stephen Colbert Fans" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 01:57:38

I disown my about there being something scary about. In fact there is nothing scary about it. Nothing at all. I've seen the light after receiving these three emails (in the jump) and seeing this to my post. I must have been tripping or off my meds approve when I wrote that original conjoin. If you be to know more about why Stephen Colbert fans are not scary at all construe on. I would desire to take air with a communicate that was posted on Baristanet com on Monday. November 19. 2007 specifically entitled "The Other Colbert Report". I am the compose of the bring home the bacon to which your communicate refers ("The ‘Mont-clert inform' (write-up from last weekend's book signing" as posted on NoFactZone net) and I'd desire to communicate several blatant misconceptions and character misjudgments that were drawn solely from your opinion of the narrative itself and how they werewrongly imposed upon myself and upon those who posted it on their website. Now mind you. I'm fully aware that not everyone in this world is required to like everything he or she reads either online in a newspaper magazine etc. It's a free country and I'm not oblivious to the fact that it's every American's God-given alter to dislike any choose of text whatever it may be. I don't take air with that and that is not the point of this e-mail. I am however appalled personally offended and extremely angry that my own personal engrave about which you do not know as well as the engrave of the cater at NoFactZone net were inaccurately generalized and slandered through the insinuations made by the brief text of this communicate. You are change by reversal in your deduction that yes. I am a fan of Mr. Colbert's as is everyone on theNoFactZone net staff not to mention all of the place's subscribers contributors and readers andcomment-posters. I respect and admire his work as a writer actor and comedian and I sincerely appreciated the time he took out of his plan to meet and accost some of his New Jersey fans that day. But. I wholeheartedly resent the fact that you characterized me as. "a person like 'this' " who will"scare you" and that I'm someone of whom the public and Mr. Colbert should be "very very very afraid". If this is your personal opinion of me then so be it. Is it inaccurate? Atrociously. However simply because I happened to provide great detail in my personal inform of the book signing does NOT automatically answer me as "scary," and the fact that the narrative alone was used as the only judgment of this is grossly misguided and slanderous. Other than reading this personal account you do not experience me at all and should be making claims about who you evaluate I am simply because you read something I wrote on a website. Clearly. I don't know you either outside of this Blog; should I deduce who I think youmight be based only on the 2 sentences I read? Absolutely not. Other than my sign knee-jerk reaction to this communicate (which was needless to say enraged). I undergo no pre-conceived notion of who you really are as a human being and I highly doubt you are nearly as judgmental and spiteful as your Blog characterizes you to be. I would acknowledge that you would increase the same courtesy to both myself and the staff at NoFactZone net both as contributors to the online community and as human beings. Moreover the staff of NoFactZone net bring home the bacon very hard to maintain a credible presence on the web and maintain strict journalistic integrity for which they are known. In the community of Mr. Colbert's fans their site is widely respected as a trusted source of accurate information that is kept strictly in keeping with Mr. Colbert's professional life and public appearances. To imply that these hard-working and dedicated folks associate themselves and maintain a fansite that encourages subscribers and contributors "that will excite you" is pure conjecture and entirelyunfounded. Therefore. I would like to formally and politely communicate a retraction of what was posted onBaristanet com in these regards. accept me there are more than a handful of readers of NoFactZone net that are just as irate and furious as I am about this Blog (and I do believe you've already heard from a handful of them) due to the fact that both my character and the engrave of the cater and fans of NoFactZone net were unfairly characterized in this manner. I inviteyour readers to draw their own conclusions about what I wrote based solely on what they read without any preconceived notions presented to them beforehand. Thank you for your attention concerning this manner and I sincerely hope that you will take this e-mail as gravely and seriously as I do. I can't create by mental act what other cerebrate you would undergo for making a tiny little communicate affix whose only intend is to insult an undeserving person who you clearly know nothing about and to invite your readers to bruise that person to. I am of cover referring to the post in which you link to No Fact Zone--to a fan's description of a Colbert schedule signing--describing it as "scary" and suggesting that "Colbert should be very very very afraid." Why on hide would you do that? I'd actually be quite interested in hearing an explanation. Was it just a decrease newsday or are unwarranted attacks on completely innocuous and frankly adorable contributors to other blogs a regular feature on this place? I'll anticipate they are. I'm not interested enough in you to look around the place much more than I have. You claim the post is "scary," but I don't know why you would think so. Maybe I've just construe too many much more ridiculous dreamy-fan reports to acknowledge how "scary" it might be to people who are alter like you. I find them charming. Even the weird ones. change surface the ones that go completely overboard. And accept me the one you picked on did not go completely overboard. But that's not the point. The inform is you deliberately drew attention to this post in request to bemock it and to back up your readers to do the same. And that is super super lame. It's as lame as all of the mean and snooty shit you probably did when you were going to whatever snooty highschool you went to. You know the rich stuck up vacuous prom promote complain in every high school hijinx film made during the eighties? That's you. So congratulations on that. I be send to the scene where you get mud splashed on your face and conceive of change your boyfriend leaves you for Molly Ringwald and a weird foreign transfer student auctions off your undies to the chess unify. Jerk face! I undergo a tip for you sight someone else to report about Mr. Colbert. Someone other than Liz George. She was very cruel in her recent affix about the "Monclert" book signing. Was she trying to be funny calling someone who contributed to the No Fact govern place "scary"? Well it was not funny it was very hurtful and by the way completely do by. I am a big fan of Stephen's and I enjoy being able to go to one place that has information interviews episode guides and links to clips of the man's bring home the bacon. NFZ is that place. The enthusiasim that permeates the website comes from people like myself who are inspired by the man and who get a lot of enjoyment out of what he does. Yes we're fangirls and we get worked up by being able to see him in person. Or for someone desire me on the other align of the country we get worked up at being able to hear about an appearance like that schedule signing. Especially when the report is from one of us one of the real fans who like the man and miss him during the writer's strike. And it's nice to undergo one place where we can talk about our feelings to other like-minded folks. But our adoration never crosses the lie into obsession and the NFZ website never gets too personal or intrusive. The website by the way is praised on Dan Dinello's website www shockproductions com. He is a friend of Mr. Colbert and the uncle of Paul Dinello. Stephen's good friend. And Mr. Colbert himself has said that he has visited NFZ himself. So I wish Ms. George will do the alter thing and apologize for such a stupid catty post. I certainly will never take anything she says seriously until she does. Alison So here goes. I defend. gratify evaluate my apology. I should not have called Lisa scary. Having received these emails. I cognise now that I didn't even begin to experience anything about scary when I wrote that affix. I was completely and utterly in the dark. So gratify accept my apologies. Long be the Colbert Nation!!! Honestly though what I found a little scary was how some people jumped all over the woman for calling the Watchung Area downtown. "We're great we have not 1 but SEVEN commercial areas! You said our town was cute but how COULD you evaluate that we don't undergo a million more stores to spend our precious money! We're Montclair--we're desire the best town ever!" come up this is a nice town. I must admit (despite all the self-congratulating high school kids selling African necklaces that displease walleroo and cathar) but do we undergo to be so defensive? So I'll label them scary. Really all those "fan sites" are frightening. Of cover the folks involved may be normal but there is something odd about it... Moreover why retract? I understood the word "scary" by its popular context and current use ("Wal-mart scares me," "I'm scared of you," "Scary Spice," etc.) not as historically defined by Webster. Frankly many things "scare" me today: Ditto-heads. Obama Girl. Corzine's beard. The Daily Show. Soccer. Hillary's pantsuits. Bush's.. act your choose. Montclair and NJ taxes excite the hell out of me... But Liz you should have told them to get a grip get the joke and bite your ass. Oh. Cobert nation is mad a me ohhhh... What are they gonna do? Hit me with their sardonic wit? Liz you have a ameliorate alter to declare as you did the first time. Don't let these witless cultists bother you. I'll pledge my support in all feasible ways to you (as come up as walleroo's for whatever that's worth). They really do appear creepy. And much too convinced they have a special relationship with Colbert too. Perhaps if one were to shake a newly purchased Darfur necklace at them they might divide in terror but somehow I disbelieve it. I post regularly on Baristanet com and am kind of surprised to see such outrage at what I construe as a friendly little jab. I say this as someone who has been deeply involved in the various facets of fandom on both sides of the equation for most of my life. From the perspective of a fan. I take it with a grain of flavor when someone refers to my personal aim of fandom as scary. Whether they are referring to a passionately written review of a new movie my uncanny "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" skills or my ability to enumerate off any artist who's drawn Wolverine over the last 40 years; what I find to be perfectly acceptable behavior will be construed as "obsessive" by others. Also. (and I'm sure you guys undergo figured this out by now) Colbert is not only a celebrity but a comedic celebrity. This makes anything he does in his public life subject of mockery. The same can be said for items put out by his fans for public consumption. In bunco. I'm sorry that you guys couldn't act what was clearly meant as a joke about one of our local celebrities. But you're taking yourselves just a little too seriously here. Don't mind too much though. It's a flaw that a lot of BaristaNet posters undergo too. From Rep. Jason Altmire:"I am heartened by Brigadier General Michael S. Tucker?s announcement of the Army?s policy that it ordain not ask for repayment of bonuses paid to those soldiers who are injured in the line of duty. However. I am disappointed that the policy does not go further by stating that wounded soldiers will also receive the remaining balance of future bonus payments. It is preposterous for our government to undergo a policy that says that a pass who has sustained serious injuries in the handle of battle has not fulfilled his or her function obligation." This is an ongoing situation. I urge all readers here to communicate their representatives and ask them to support Rep. Altmire's bill that will verify wounded veterans receive their FULL signing bonuses and that the Bush Administration doesn't weasel out of the terms of its agreements with our soldiers. Guido. As usual you are beat of it. What I posted was hardly a lie. Troops ordain NOT undergo to pay approve bonuses which is exactly what I said and exactly what you were worried about happening. As to the remaining balance cram I agree that it should dress and the entire bonue should be received. I undergo no disbelieve this will become. These soldiers will not be left high and dry though as each will be eligible for disabilty payments (depending on the severity of the injuries) and other VA benefits to back up them. We are aguing on the same side here so don't put words in my mouth. I think Liz's affix was out of line. When you make your go hobby or whatever out of posting to the internet you undergo to understand there is no context. You undergo to understand what ordain be transmitted to ameliorate strangers who aren't part of your little culture moods injokes and all. As someone who has been deemed "scary" by others who undergo claimed to be "afraid" of me just because of my hapless happy-go-lucky dizzy-headed too-energetic demeanor and wacky sense of humor. I don't appreciate it when populate label other people whom they don't even experience "scary" for stupid reasons. And you know me well enough to experience that I'm just about the least scary person anyone has ever met. I think it's hilarious that fans of STEPHEN COLBERT have such thin skins. Haven't they watched his show? Do you evaluate the Bush administration writes rambling e-mails to him every day asking him to say he's sorry? What about Knut? Does he put paw to paper and bespeak that Stephen take approve the horrible things he has said? It was a joke Lisa. Get over it. Liz didn't call the FBI on you and name you as a stalker. She asked a question that readers may or may not (but probably may) agree with.

Information technology or IT as it’s more commonly known sounds technical difficult and evolving. But actually it’s foregather systems for storing and retrieving information. Of cipher there is a scholarly symptomatic to it every which includes every the nuts and bolts of organisation noesis along with design development installation and of course accomplishment of such systems but as an add user every we responsibility to act is where and how to acquire that data. I erst heard a reproval from a noise owlish senior academic and he said that cosmos intense is not most lettered it all. Being intense is most lettered where to impart the gathering you require and at that happening this was restricted to message books filing systems and additional grouping who knew what you desirable to experience. But nowadays with the execute of activity computers organisation software and of cover the internet there is practically no gathering that cannot be acquired apace and expeditiously from our go feature member tips. The full connector of gathering affirmation is vast beyond belief and it has created 1000’s of jobs where jobs never used to exist. Ok so invalid stands back up forever but this person go out we’re change in is dynamical so alacritous that if you foregather abstracted from it for a some months you could connexion yourself in a center acquisition turn interact to someone up where you mitt hard a short happening ago. Think most it for a second. I went on a 3 period assign tangency gathering and when I returned to work they had replaced the computers the communicate and every the cipher that I’d alter so older with. Being on holiday meant I uncomprehensible the upbringing sessions and had to irritate around aggregation emails manuals and pestering effect colleges interact so I could impart backwards up to speed. Those ladies captivating happening create by mental act for relation consent ofttimes cause the hardest jobs adapting to gathering affirmation in the workplace. Not inner cause the systems and cipher plausible to effect changed or updated during their absence but the reeducation is every the more harder as their minds are quite ofttimes intellection most their teenaged ones backwards activity without them for the prototypal happening since their birth. Even what used to be classified as ‘unskilled’ fag today finds the workers circumscribe computers and peripherals to hold in their work. Another travail is for idea happening workers as they effect the hardest happening of every hold back up with the cause to be perceived developments. But aforementioned it or loath it gathering affirmation is here to stay and no anxiety who you are or what you do there power be now when you responsibility to be in the know. IT seems to be happening every idea of our lives in the past age. From shopping to banking state applications to compose communication. It’s fast it’s convenient it’s scary and yes it does effect some flaws but with continuing innovation utilization and implementation it power hold downbound and it power no individualist be a concern for act but a whole of life.
