"The forums and email lists are ablaze with ConfigMgr 2007 activity" posted by ~Ray

I construe the where Brian Tucker () said his customers are going to wait until SP1 of ConfigMgr 2007 is released before moving to the new version of SMS. I have to say from watching the community through the and the threads there are more than quite a few companies rolling this thing out right now. Granted some folks still have it in the lab but with the intent of moving to production pretty quickly. And the really cool thing is that possibly. 30% of these are folks who have never used SMS before or undergo in the past but chosen something else until now. That means Microsoft has done a great job with this SMS update. It also means you don’t need to wait until a function case is released before giving it a try.

"Chris Bowers? Tunnel Vision" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 16:25:51

Online politicos are always debating the alter metrics for online political strength looks at place merchandise. MySpace and Facebook friends. Meetup members. Eventful demands. I prefer harder metrics generated from the campaigns themselves like money raised e-mail list size number of accommodate parties volunteers mobilized online. If you’re Chris Bowers. Instead what “stuns” Bowers is the Republicans’ “end lack of creativity and self-directed content production.” He’s talking about some GOP user-generated video contests. I’m not really sure why Republican activists undergo apparently no ability to engage in self-starting activism of this nature. I’ve floated some theories on this in the past but this end lack of creativity and self-directed content production stuns even me. Republicans are clearly facing a massive creativity gap at the grassroots aim one that cannot be easily explained away. … Truly and utterly pathetic. Republicans be to have created an army of zombies that can’t think for themselves. In the past. I have been reluctant to bear on the term dittohead to the Republican rank and file but their continuing failures to conduct any self-starting activism whatsoever is making the evince more apt all the time. This is esoteric to the nth degree. Not only does this not matter in the grand plot of 2008. It doesn’t even particularly matter in the new media+politics space. Republicans don’t have as many populate indulging their “creative” artistic align. They’ll never win the Avenue A/Razorfish office straw survey. In a nutshell: Republicans should leave office themselves to endless Democratic victories because they don’t have the give of famous Hollywood directors desire Rob Reiner and their wannabees. In 2004. Democrats had all sorts of “creative” people making ads on their behalf. I be to bequeath based on some digging I did at the measure that the Hitler/MoveOn ad was made by someone at an ad agency in Seattle. As discussed at a post-election forum at the University of Pennsylvania. MoveOn also had Hollywood directors voluntarily submitting anti-Bush ads for air later in the cycle. Strangely enough most of the ads — TLC’d in the mecca of creative genius — didn’t test as come up as the dull and dark cookie cutter spots MoveOn aired instead. But Bowers also ignores the most significant such contest held to go out — Mitt Romney’s create-your-own ad oppose which received over 100 submissions. Smartly. Romney’s team provided users with the raw materials with which to remix spots lowering the barriers to entry. The winning ad — which actually made it on the air where it could influence voters — was far better than anything the Romney media team had produced to date (a remarkable achievement considering the amateur ad-maker limited himself to the same footage used by the pros). Bowers has to grasp at straws (focusing on ads made from adjoin) because the Democratic handle has change state stagnant online while much of the interest and energy is surged to the Republicans. I don’t conclude much kinship with supporters of rhymes-with-Pon-Raul but you can’t deny that in terms of “self-starting online activism,” the Paulbots run loops around the netroots. In October second tier Mike Huckabee raised more online than second tier John Edwards and Chris Dodd combined — the top two finishers in the almighty Kos straw poll. Zephyr Teachout. Howard Dean’s former online community director now says that On the blogs too top tier Democrats are conspicuously lacking in In October unofficial candidate blogs for Giuliani. Romney. Huckabee and Thompson had three times the activity as unofficial blogs for Clinton. Obama. Edwards and Richardson. Rather than pointing fingers at Republican experimentation and innovation. Bowers would do exceed to examine the netroots’ failure to create by mental act since 2003 their staggering failure to inflict so much as a scratch on Hillary Clinton’s inevitability and the fact that their online energy has been drained to celebrity-minded forums like Facebook and MySpace and in-house campaign telecommunicate lists where candidates are free to do by them. When Barack Obama your best wish for defeating Hillary Clinton feels remove to flagrantly blow you off what does that say for the vaunted influence of the netroots? The netroots have no influence because they demand liberal candidates who are honest about their liberalism. The last guy who tried that approach was Mike Dukakis. He was beaten by an even worse candidate than the current furnish. The american populate are many things but they’re not liberal as that call is currently defined. In Gallup’s generic survey of liberal vs conservative liberals are outnumbered two to one.

"SAGE-members email list is great" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-01 22:13:20

Of all the mailing lists I'm on has the greatest solutions:go ratio. It's basically 1:0. There are about 3 or 4 threads a week with a lot of really great advice. For dilate seems to have solved his problem. The other threads on the list are also interesting possibly because they are so varied as are the people posting responses. I participate in several other lists like and. Those lists are typically noisy with the same questions answered with the same perspectives all the time (that's why FAQ's were born). The telecommunicate list alone is worth the SAGE member fees. Now they need an interact program so I can get paid for my awesome reviews :)

While in the Seafarer forum if you click on "All Forums" at the top it ordain bring you to a list of all forums. move through the list until you get to the summon that lists "Seafarer". All the way to the right you will see a "bid" button. Click on that button and enter your e-mail communicate. You ordain then get a confirmation notice sent to your e-mail inbox. Reply to the e-mail communicate and you will be added to the list. In the future when you go to the Seafarer's summon you can login using this e-mail address. "Is -web communications- the right name for a web apps + blogging ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-30 14:37:43

I am a member of WomenontheWeb it's a Dutch communicate of about 4,500 women who either use the internet for their business bring home the bacon or pleasure. I am a happy and active member and I had the idea to start a enumerate concentrating on blogs as discussions on blogging were move around 3 different telecommunicate lists. The Wow board of management has approved the start of this enumerate. (yeah!) And they have decided that the enumerate will also entail the topics of web2.0 apps and online networking (yeah yeah again). I had proposed the name of the list to be weblog-list. As the enumerate is going to talk about more than blogs they have proposed the name: web communications (in Dutch: webcommunicatie). Now I had also stated to the board that I would love to take care of promotions of this enumerate. Therefore a good name would make my work much easier. :-) So I am very curious to know what you think of this name. It needs to describe what it is so people can share that they are a member of the blog-list like there is an multimedia-list computer-list text-list mac-list etc. My initial thought of the label is that communications souds corporate and not very web2.0 whereas the list is going to be very 2.0. :-)gratify let me experience what you think of the name. If you undergo any other suggestions please share them here as well. And: if you construe/write Dutch and you are a woman don't delay to connect in. :-) http://www womenontheweb nl Hi Marieke. So the new mailinglist is about online networking and blogging; both kind of 'results' of web 2.0. Why not call it web 2.0 then? And if that is a terrible mailingname (maybe because of the numbers?) alter it : @webtwopointzero or in Dutch webtweepuntnul. I accept with you that webcommunication sounds very corporate and at the same measure it doesn't say a thing because everything is communication on the web. Anja Beerepoot Hi Marieke,A great thing about Women on the Web (WoW) is that as a member you can suggest a new maillist. They have a good system for that and the board gives its members a lot of opportunities. If the board thinks it's a nice plan and suits WoW they alter sure it gets there. You can really make something of it change surface if you are 'just' a single member desire you are. Coming to your challenge... I think you shouldn't drop that this list is part of the WoW-community. Thát's the mark the webcom-list is a product. It's not just about communicating membership of the webcom-list it's about WoW-membership. When you are checking out the possibilities of a WoW-membership you'll find all the info here: http://www womenontheweb nl/lijsten. For existing members that's clear enough they'll acquire a newsletter about the new webcom-list and find everything they be. (As a matter of fact they are signing in for the webcom-list already.) For new members it's more important to learn to experience what Women on the Web is about. They'll have to end on that first. (And as you can imagine it's the board that decides on how to communicate that.)approve to the list-name. When you say you think 'com' (communications) is too much business-like you'll have to take another glance at what WoW is doing... There is a large focus on business there it's no Hyves or myspace there are no fancy smileys/pictures/music/wallpapers etc. It's comforatable you can undergo fun there but WoW is not trying to grab hold of all bloggers a major part ís about business. So.. I don't really see anything wrong about that. Let's just see what ordain become of this WoW-maillist!Dianap s. A friend pointed out that web2.0@ is a disastrous e-mailaddress for a maillist. "webcom" is easy to bequeath and hard to misspell. Good p o v. ! Best Answers in: Using LinkedIn (122). Career Development (5). Customer Service (4). Web Development (3). Education and Schools (2).
