I use wordpress blogs and like them because of the resulting control I have over the blog. Lately I've been creating alot of wordpress mu blogs which has streamlined alot of the process for me but there is still alot of monotony in setting it up. Basically here are my steps for each blog:1) create the communicate by inputting my title in wp mu admin.2) Go to blogs backend and alter the following options: -make public to SE's -change permalinks to alter seo friendly -disable comments and telecommunicate alerts -change communicate tagline3) initiate lazyblog and feedwordpress plugins4) assemble feedwordpress before giving it a feed5) remove wordpress first affix and "about" page as well as coments6) Chose theme and assemble7) Add widgets for sidebars (from txt file) and rearrange as I see fit8) Write blog description9) Add Counter10) Add feed from gallery scraper and play around with it until it looks good11) Submit to linkdumps and add some links to and from other blogsMost of these steps are repetitive to the point where I feel like it's a waste of time. All in all it takes about 45 mins to an hour to punch out one blog that's including writing 20 posts or so in gallery scraper to populate the blog. I'd like to know if theres a way I can alter at least some of these steps so that all I undergo to do is get it started and then change state on writing the posts and putting the unique touches to the communicate. Is there desire some sort of program that can do the mundane unthinking steps?

come up i am doing it all with my scripts and it takes me about 10 minutes for having everything running. When you are with wordpress i am not sure if you can do it faster since it needs lots of setups and customizations for each blog probably you might try something like what digits does with macros to automate everything or with custom written scripts to do the things.. If you or anyone wanna hear my way i can share it. Don't wanna write it now coz i will steal your thread since you ask about wordpress specifically

Macros is the evince I was trying to evaluate of that might be able to help me. How do you set up macros that would do a clump of things in a certain order?

Im Also using Blog Organizer and Gallery Scrapper. In just 1 hour i get ready about 200 blogs. But i have the entire database of posts 100% finished with over 100,000 handwritten posts. SEO optimized and more... 90% is unique text at least the first part of the post.. the visualise is unique and the "sales texts" can be re-used.. but its like i always did and worked fine!I created some basic scripts that run in a local server where i undergo a sql database with all posts sidebars single banners html codes etc... In 1 hour i get 200 blogs create from raw material doesnt be if they are on thumblogger wordpress xlogz wp mu etc... Of course blogs in WordPress and WP MU are easy to manage i love to massive dress basic options directly from mysql database.. i dress all options the templates remove the first posts and comment etc.. all by mysql... I also use the Kaktusans compose BO to merchandise some posts to my blogs.. it makes the big job.. update each blog and ping after updated!Sidebars.. well i just update my sidebars blogs too sometimes i dress the widgets accessing blog per blog.. sometimes i change it directly in the sql database. Of cover it took me about 6 months to get the circumscribe ready but now im working without problems!If i add a counted to a widget well this work is some slowly because i need to create each counter.. but i add them anyway.. maybe 50/60 per day.. the linkdump process is powered by the Smut Webmaster LinkDump submitter i use linkdumps to get only backlinks.. some days later i add the links to my blogs.. and of course links from other blogs.. i try to add them also by sql to avoid delays
you can do anything you evaluate you only need to try and try.. i tried everything i had in my object sometimes php and sql can helps sometimes no...-I need to mention that Blog Organizer of kaktusan is also a blog plattaform and you can easyly create hundreds of blogs all from the BO admin adorn... Gallery Scrapper is also a great tool and finally communicate Automater is excelent if you be to run your splog network from feeds!

I'm wondering about the titles as well AnneT. As for the templates. I use a few versatile templates that I can trade out the headers on if need be. I'm hoping to configure macros to do all the template stuff for me as well with a few touches per blog to spice it up.

Actually I kinda thought of a few ways to do it since I made that post. My next challenge is how to alter it up like you say Boner. And also whether these macros are being run locally or remotely and on a linux server or a regular windows machine.
Boneroftheweek. I would pretty much say use Kat's platform (doesn't work for me sadly due to the pages coming up blank) but the idea is sound and it is a one page interface that would alter itself to automation. Wordpress on the other transfer is a multi page operation. Meaning you need to find each summon manually and edit the circumscribe and configuration. Even WPMU is multi paged and requires you bring up each summon to edit it properly. Now what I accept I heard you ask about is a macro program. Something that records your mouse clicks and then replays them down to the most complex. Remember it is recording your claim mouseclick and keyboard sequence so you would need to think through each go carefully It would not do to have all your blogs named blahblahblah. You would also need to remember that if you experience any temporary lag using such a program then you ordain be clicking uselessly at a blank page while it loads and loads and loads. Once you suffer your place in this macro it is tough to recover it and everything after would be pretty much fubarred. There are no remove and reliable programs to act macros of the complexity this ordain require. No more than Kat's programs are free. Many of them are available for evaluation though and a little measure ordain convince you which if any will do the job you want. None of this is without work. There is also a method using ssh to bend and configure your wp using a predetermined set of commands however it is beyond the means of most populate not on their own server to manage. Good luck.
Chimera. I know about Kat's software and I undergo it already but it doesn't make the kind of results that I like. I love the blogs I can make with wp and I like the hold back I undergo over every aspect. I just don't know how to adapt blog organizer to look desire what I be it to be like. I think people are getting the wrong Idea. I'm not looking to make splogs with repeated circumscribe over and over again. I handwrite all my blogposts for a new communicate in one sitting enough for posts for a month or more and then I let the blog work on its own. I simply want to eliminate my time spent setting up the blog itself so I can spend 2% of my time setting it up and 98% of my measure writing. I'm aware that this involves work. I just know it can be less bring home the bacon. I always desire to work smart not just hard.
