"Thanksgiving fog" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-16 02:21:16

A very foggy day here; I've spent a lot of it not at the TV but at the computer trying to catch up with notes to and from SRM Publisher customers. First we've got returns on our shipments of LUC#2 -- things marked up by the PO in some cases and in others marked by unknown assailants armed with red crayons blue magic markers cross (and definitive) draw and homemade labels. Assorted messages range from the ordinary "moved left no forwarding address" to the cryptic to "Refused" .. and in trying to bring in drink some of these folks and ask "what should we do now?" I have also run into dead-end email addresses and the inevitable earthlink refusals.. to the point that I'm going to forbid using earthlink email addresses yet again. I convey if you order something from me from an telecommunicate address you ought to be prepared to let me displace you a communicate without going through a begging system. I see in some cases that someone -- either us in making lables or the customers in filling out orders -- undergo transposed zipcode numbers. Our postoffice helped us catch many of these before we put boxes in mail but alas some come through. breathe.... If you LUC2 order has not arrived by December 1 do let us know. Earthlink was bought by Embarq. The final switch was on 10/31/07 with no more forwarding. Try subbing the @earthlink net with Embarqmail com I had to switch and it was very easy to get the same first half of my email addy. Embarq definitely didn't buy Earthlink. What actually happened is kind of the opposite of that. Earthlink and Embarq had a contract in some areas where Eartlink provided the internet service and Embarq provided the physical DSL connection. (Earthlink isn't a phone company and thus any DSL services they furnish have to be done in conjunction with a local telecommunicate affiliate that can provide the physical wiring.) The contract wasn't renewed so people who had service with Embarq lost the right to use Earthlink addresses and had to change by reversal to Embarq's new system. I have received my write of LUC#2 have enjoyed reading it and have passed it on to the wife for consumption. And have been left wondering if Kareen has any redeemable qualities or if she is just a solid pillar of bitterness.... Doc

"Kaspersky and Earthlink email problem" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 07:58:03

Does anyone undergo experience using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 with Earthlink email? Can you enlighten me about how to fix this problem?I started a 30-day trial of KAV on 11/15 and activated Earthlink as my new ISP on 11/23. I also downloaded the Earthlink抯 TotalAccess 2005 software containing their email program. Two things undergo happened:1) Earthlink抯 email program on my PC (not the webmail. Earthlink which works fine) will neither displace nor receive email while KAV抯 real time monitor is active AND Earthlink抯 email ports 110 (POP3 incoming) and 587 (STML outgoing) are entered into KAV抯 telecommunicate monitoring set-up screen. Earthlink email starts working again if you either a) disable KAV real measure monitoring or b) enter bogus email ports into KAV. I抳e entered numerous Earthlink exe and dll files into KAV抯 揟rusted Processes?screen but without successfully getting the email program to work again.2) KAV anti-virus automatic updates began to consistently fail beginning 11/23 according to its preserve log. I can no longer manually modify the database either. KAV ordain just not connect to any of the many modify servers it cycles through. Kaspersky tech support answered my telecommunicate and said their update servers are currently down due to some large grade/update. Perhaps it is just a coincidence that KAV lost its update ability on the same day Earthlink ISP was switched on?BTW all testing & attempted repairs were down with both ZoneAlarm firewall and affect Guard shut down and with whatever relevant addresses I could think of entered into MS Internet Explorer抯 Trusted Zone. I acknowledge your assistance and insight. Regards,Stro

"EarthLink Email to EMBARQ Assistance" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-12 00:39:48

If you be to forbid (as much as possible) issues switching from EarthLink MailBox to EMBARQ email. I undergo compiled the following instructions based solely on my experiences. The reason for these issues is usually because users are not aware that the EMBARQ switching process deletes all Earthlink software (including MailBox) which permanently deletes all your email and contacts stored in EarthLink MailBox – I was unaware of this as well. Two scenarios into which you may fall (specific instructions for each follow): I didn’t go these steps and lost my telecommunicate and contacts; unfortunately for me. I figured out how to do this after I realized the EMBARQ affect removes EarthLink MailBox and all messages (and it didn’t transfer my contacts from EarthLink webmail). The key point that I didn’t know and which I think many EarthLink customers who need to switch to EMBARQ don’t know is that you can use the EarthLink MailBox application for non-EarthLink email accounts! That’s the basis for these instructions…NOTE: all of these steps assume you are using the latest EarthLink TotalAccess 2005. If using an older version you will need to have in mind to to sight specific instructions for the steps outlined in my instructions. I undergo posted each of these scenario's instructions in two separate posts:

Our elnk complimentary telecommunicate ordain be deleted. I really like the features of the telecommunicate be the anonymous telecommunicate. I evaluate earthlink has the best spam blocker there is. I practically don't get any spam. I just love its features that's why it saddens me that it'll be deleted. I'm also a little alarmed. What happens to my messages in that email be? Good thing someone mentioned Montage betaversion it's like incredimail. You can integrate all you email accounts there's no need to login to multiple accounts. And you don't be to have a earthlink email account to use it. The best thing is the blocker tools(those features that we always promote) for email are also included. I woke up at past midnight just to download the software and merchandise my messages and address book (which is the least of my concern) There was an update that the complimentary telecommunicate account ordain be deleted today. Try out Montage anyway it's free. Billicoi said it's good he tried it out during training. It's a beta version that's a bit scary though. Read the disclaimer on the furnish before you transfer the software. My messages just finished importing to Montage. Let me play around it now.
